Great availability! Great availability! - we
can't stress this enough. The majority of work and auditions is
during normal working hours Mon-Fri. There are some weekend and
after hours work, but in general the more available you are, the
more work we can submit you for.
Reliable transport - most production companies
work in and around central Auckland or the West Auckland areas.
Therefore it is absolutely vital that you have your own reliable
transport.
But most importantly - you must have a fantastic
attitude and a positive outlook on life. Casting agencies and
directors love people who are enthusiastic and have a good energy
or vibe about them. It's not always about the looks!

Fill in the online application form and upload a photo of
yourself if you have any - if you don't, not a problem, we can take
your photos during the interview stage.
You will receive an email confirming we have received your
application and asking for you to arrange an interview time.
The email will also explain what you need to bring and what to
expect when you see us.
Call to make an appointment to see us, so we can meet face to
face, have a chat and take more photos if necessary to upload onto
our website.
Absolutely! But, you must have a valid
WORKING PERMIT or VISA. We can't put you on our books
without one, so you need to bring these documents to your interview
for us to verify.
No you don't. Yes, you read that right. You
pay NO REGISTRATION FEES upfront.
Instead, Fresh Talent believe it's fairer to deduct this fee
from your first paying jobs until it is paid off. In other words,
you don't pay us until we pay you! How fabulous is that!
Annual registration fees are as follows: $110 for adults | $55 for
children (0-15 yrs)
Yes we do. We deduct 20% commission (before tax) from every job
we book and represent you for. This is a standard agency fee that
covers us working for you regarding job submissions, auditions,
bookings and general administration of your profile.
The million dollar question! Casting agencies send out
criteria's of the type of people they are looking for. If you fit
the bill then we put you forward to be considered. We want you to
get the job too! So it really helps your case if you are keen, have
great availability and reliable transport.
Rates vary greatly from job to job and it largely depends on
whether it's a locally made series or a commercial or film.
However, as a general guideline, payment for extras can range from
$13 gross per hour (gross means before commission & tax), to
$250 gross per day and up to $1000-$12,000 gross per job. Featured
extras and actors can command even higher rates.
The simple answer is, no. You can only belong to one agency and
we would love it if you decide Fresh Talent to be the one to
represent you.
The only persons who can view your profile other than Fresh
Talent are casting agencies. However, they do not have access to
personal information like contact details etc.. they can only view
certain aspects of your profile like photos, industry experience,
skills and vital statistics which is all they need when browsing
for potential stars!
Yes you can. After your interview, you will be emailed a
username and password. You will then be able to access your
profile and update information if necessary.
All those details will be discussed with you at the interview
and you will be given a Fresh Talent info leaflet to take home that
covers everything you need to know.
